No two Americana Music Tours are exactly alike - and that's the way we like it. Here’s a little taste of what you can expect on the road. 

 

Live music every day

The true voice of the South. You'll be awed by world-class live performances during this phenomenal once-in-a-lifetime 15 day adventure. The music encompasses nine different genres of American music, including Country, Bluegrass, R&B, Gospel, Rock & Roll, Jazz, Creole Zydeco, Soul, Blues and more.

 

You will discover that incredible live music happens everywhere in the South, sometimes even on your tour bus! There are so many artists who call the Triangle home, you never know who you might encounter.

 

You will tour legendary recording studios responsible for some of the world’s most important records, including Sun Studio in Memphis (where Elvis Presley recorded his very first song “That’s All Right Mama”), FAME Studios and Muscle Shoals Sound Studio (also known as 3614 Jackson Highway - where The Rolling Stones famously cut “Brown Sugar” and "Wild Horses") at Muscle Shoals Alabama, plus RCA Studio B in Nashville.

 

You'll also witness live performances at famous music venues like the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville and not-so-famous (yet highly authentic) venues like Red's in Clarksdale. There’s even a stop in Tupelo Mississippi to visit the birthplace of Elvis Presley.

 

Accommodation 

You will experience the warm welcome of Southern hospitality throughout a variety of unique and iconic venues during the 15 days - such as Hotel Mazarin in New Orleans’ French Quarter and the Marriot at The Shoals (or similar quality) in Muscle Shoals. Another special highlight is on Day 11 in Clarksdale Mississippi, where you will overnight at the one-of-a-kind Delta Cotton Company Lofts, located above Morgan Freeman’s Ground Zero Blues Club. 

 

Incredible flavours of the South

The food in the South is legendary - and our guides know the very best places to take your tastebuds for the real deal. You will experience a variety of incredible Southern fare, ranging from modern 5-star cuisine to not-available-anywhere-else local delights - including anything and everything from Jambalaya to genuine Memphis BBQ, Southern Fried Chicken to Gumbo. Breakfast is included daily, plus some lunches and evening meals, unless otherwise stated.

 

Transportation

All transfers between the major centres of the Americana Music Triangle are by extremely comfortable private passenger coach.

• A Mississippi River cruise with lunch provided aboard the Natchez Steamer, New Orleans’ sole-remaining genuine paddle steamer

• A thrilling Airboat tour to experience the beautiful Atchafalaya Basin in Louisiana - keep your eye out for alligators!

• A visit to the historic Tom’s Wall in Muscle Shoals will leave you touched by the dedication of one man to his descendants

• A tour of Memphis in a '55 Cadillac, similar to one owned by Elvis Presley.
